Showing a little love.

Carol Korpal: Fifty-Five Years with Boxers

Carol's love of the Boxer breed began in the 1940's. She wanted a boxer so bad that she saved her money from babysitting and bought her own dog. Carol didn't just want a boxer, she wanted to breed boxers. At the time Carol lived near 19th street and Kedzie Av. in Chicago, Illinois. She can still remember taking that first dog on the streetcar to have it's ears done. She bred her first litter in 1950. She was only sixteen years old. She has been involved in boxer breeding ever since.
So what makes Carol Korpal special? There are many people breeding boxers but Carol's experience is hard to match. She has been actively involved in Boxers for fifty-five years and is a former President of the Midwest Boxer Club. Carol has been very successful in competition. She has finished nine champions. Her first in 1962. With Carol, it was never about the Champions, it was about breeding beautiful sound dogs and getting them into the hands of people who would appreciate them. Carol could have had many more champions but she had more important priorities. She was raising seven children. Carol has a extensive library. She has read pretty much every book ever written on boxers.
Carol is refreshingly candid. Anyone seeking advice on boxers, breeding or boxer conformation should seek her out. A link to Carol's website is listed on this blog.
As proud co-owners of Ch. Kimkar's Hi Tech Traveler (Jake), the Cloud's would like to express our thanks to Carol Korpal for the privilege and joy of living with such a magnificent animal.
